"Pink Houses" in "Parks and Recreation"
Tonight's highly anticipated NBC-TV series premiere of "Parks and Recreation" will use "Pink Houses"-especially fitting in that the show takes place in the fictional town of of Pawnee, Indiana, said to be located 90 miles from Indianapolis and the state's seventh-largest city.
A half-hour mockumentary focusing on the exciting and complicated world of local government, "Parks and Recreation" stars Emmy-nominated "Saturday Night Live" alumn Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope, Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation, and Rashida Jones, formerly of the acclaimed sitcom "The Office" and currently appearing in the hit movie "I Love You, Man," as nurse Ann Perkins. It was created by Emmy Award-winning executive producers Greg Daniels ("The Office," "King of the Hill") and Michael Schur ("The Office," "Saturday Night Live").
