John to Perform Benefit Concert at The Housing Works Bookstore Cafe in NYC - Friday, January 25, 7 PM - TICKET UPDATE

The Housing Works Bookstore Cafe in New York City has announced a benefit concert with John Mellencamp in honor of the 5th Anniversary of their LIVE FROM HOME concert series.

The evening will begin with a cocktail reception from 7 to 8 PM followed by Mellencamp, live in concert, playing some songs from his unreleased new album “Life, Death, Love, and Freedom,” produced by T Bone Burnett. This is an exclusive opportunity to see John Mellencamp in an extremely intimate setting; fewer than 200 total tickets will be available.

Tickets went on sale to the public earlier this week and quickly sold out with Mellenheads snapping them up. Housing Works has informed Mellencamp.com that they will offer a small number of tickets mid-day on Friday, January 18th, via www.livefromhome.org/ . Additionally, there are several front row auctions available via their website. These auctions include a bottle of champagne, and a gift bag with a signed poster and CDs.

Founded by music writer Alan Light, the LIVE FROM HOME series has showcased more than 130 acclaimed artists, including John Mayer, Lyle Lovett, Beth Orton and Tracy Chapman. LIVE FROM HOME has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Housing Works, which serves homeless New Yorkers living with HIV and AIDS. Click HERE to visit their website.
